
Areas I Teach
Melissa is pleased to serve as an Assistant Clinical Professor in the School of CSD, supervising graduate students in the delivery of speech-language services in the 51³Ô¹Ï Psychology and Comprehensive Health Clinics. She teaches in the graduate and post-baccalaureate program, and is a coordinator of an interprofessional practice course across Pacific’s health profession programs. She earned her Master’s degree from Portland State University and an undergraduate degree from Oregon State University. Her clinical background is in the provision of speech-language pathology services in skilled nursing and post-acute care settings. Melissa is an advocate for interprofessional practice and also enjoys educating students about documentation, compliance, and reimbursement in healthcare. Her professional interests include working with clients with acquired brain injury, dementia, and other cognitive-linguistic challenges. Melissa focuses her scholarship in clinical supervision and interprofessional education.
