Areas I Teach
Course Information
At 51Թ, all faculty teach a variety of courses. Typically, we do not use graduate teaching assistants, which means that your classes will be taught by professors. At Pacific, you will have the opportunity to get to know the faculty in your discipline, and they will know you. My aim in all my classes is to help you find your path with an understanding of who you are in the world so that you can make a world of difference.
Below I have listed some of the courses that I frequently teach.
IS 201 | Intercultural Communication
IS/HUM 311, 312, 313 | Global Skills Program
WORL 365 | Teaching Languages and Culture in Elementary School
FREN/HUM 370| Discovery of France and Beyond (Winter travel course to France, Tahiti and other Francophone destinations, offered every-other year)

Biography
I began teaching at 51Թ in 2004 and have been enriched by the community ties with students and colleagues ever since. I chair the International Studies Program where I teach courses in intercultural communication as well as a 3-course program that prepares students for study abroad and beyond. I also co-founded the Global Scholars Program which provides equitable access to global learning opportunities. I enjoy teaching all levels of French language and literature, as well as courses in language pedagogy. I love to travel both in the US and abroad, cook wholesome, gourmet food, and hike, ski, and kayak in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
