The Jazz Band will perform under the direction of Dr. Abbie Brown on Friday, November 14 at 7:30 p.m. in McCready Hall, Taylor-Meade Performing Arts Center.
The latest iteration of the universityās strategic plan, āOur Pacific: A University for Opportunity,ā is now available for faculty and staff review. The current version adds key goals and tactics to the established themes and objectives. Feedback from this version, along with recommendations from our seven reorganization committees, will be incorporated over the coming weeks before the plan is shared with the Board of Trustees in December.
Weāre currently looking for more knick-knacks, warm clothing, and shoes to restock our shelves. We also have plenty of kidsā items, t-shirts, and books that weād love to see get picked up and put to good use!
Have you ever wondered what a city council meeting is or how it works? Join students from the MCCE on a field trip to the Monday, November 10th, Forest Grove City Council Meeting! Weāll meet on the AuCoin patio at 6:40 PM and walk the three blocks to the community auditorium together. We'll get to see 51³Ō¹Ļ faculty (and current Forest Grove City Council President!) Prof. Mariana Valenzuela in action & learn what issues the city is currently tackling.
Significant research and work have already been conducted by a Freedom of Expression Task Force approved by the University Council in October of 2022. In May 2025, the University Council agreed to reestablish a new task force during the 2025-26 academic year to continue this work. The Provost, as chair of the University Council, is seeking nominations of faculty and staff to fill two faculty member positions and two staff member positions. Given the scope of this project, the time commitment is estimated to be between 3-5 hours per month, but may vary depending on the progress of the work. We anticipate that the completion of this work will be spring of 2026.

All are welcome to join the Alumni Association for this meaningful time of reflection. Held quarterly, the Remembrance Ceremony honors our alumni and friends who have recently died.
This ceremony is dedicated to remembering those who died prior to the August Remembrance Ceremony for Alumni & Friends, or whose loved ones have requested they be included.

If climbing dirty boulders outside in the cold doesn't appeal to you, why not try indoor rock climbing for a change? Join Outdoor Pursuits instructors and Pacific students for a night of indoor adventuring at a local indoor climbing gym! This indoor excursion will certainly be warmer and dryer, plus just as much fun, as a day out on the rocks! Climbers of ALL experience levels are encouraged to participate!
