Justus (he/him/his) is a doctoral student at the 51³Ô¹Ï School of Graduate Psychology. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Cognitive Science from Lawrence University and a Masters of Arts in Clinical Psychology from 51³Ô¹Ï. He uses a Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach to treatment, focusing on thoughts, actions, and feelings that cause distress. He helps clients identify patterns in their lives contributing to symptoms, developing solutions rooted in cognitive psychology and behaviorist principles. He conceptualizes clients using a strengths-based model, identifying areas of resilience that support their well-being. Justus uses principles from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to cultivate cognitive flexibility and mindfulness. In his free time, he enjoys playing games with friends and watching scary movies. He loves going to live shows, whether it is theatre or indie music.
