Year started in program: 2023
Background: I completed my BAs in Psychological Science and Criminology, Law, and Society at the University of California-Irvine in 2021. Following graduation, I worked at a psychological assessment company called Western Psychological Services and conducted clinical outcome research for a private practice named CBT California. I was born and raised in Torrance, California.
Research Interests: My research interests are primarily in the area of sexual violence (multiple-perpetrator rape), psychopathy, and trauma. Clinically, I am interested in forensic population and Muslims as well as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). My secondary research interests are in Muslim adolescent well-being.
More about me: I am an avid gamer, manga reader, and anime watcher, but I also very much like to stay active by playing sports (soccer has been my go-to for the past 12 months), lifting weights at the gym, and hiking. To fulfill my creativity, I like to cross-stitch gifts for friends and family. I have volunteered my time for a non-profit organization called Young Muslims for the past 10 years.
