V Martin (she/her) has worked as an advocate and educator in the field of sexual violence prevention and response for 25 years. Previously, she served as the director for The Center for Gender Equity at 51³Ô¹Ï, coordinator for PCC’s Cascade Campus Queer Resource Center, director of the Women’s Resource Center at PSU, and program coordinator of the LGBT Center and Women’s Center at Ohio University.

She has also worked for several nonprofits including the Sexual Assault Resource Center, Sexual and Gender Minority Youth Resource Center, Planned Parenthood, and the Human Dignity Coalition. She currently serves as the board representative for the Parent Policy Council at St James Family Center and fosters animals with the Wahkiakum Animal Advocates group. V incorporates trauma-informed care and shame resilience theory into her work. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her partner and daughter and teaching Queer Studies at Portland Community College.
