Island Eyes Conference | 2026

Whether you're joining us for the first time or returning as part of a valued tradition, the Island Eyes Conference offers a dynamic and enriching experience each year. Renowned educators share clinical insights and practical perspectives designed to elevate your practice. Our signature half-day schedule provides ample opportunity to enjoy everything Hawaii has to offer outside the classroom.

Join optometrists from across the U.S. and Canada for up to 30 COPE-accredited hours of continuing education.

We’re pleased to welcome our 2026 speakers, including Dr. April Jasper, Dr. Jacqueline Theis, Dr. Lorne Yudcovitch, and Dr. Walt Whitley.

Registration Fees:

  • Full Registration: $975 (Early bird: $875)
  • 3-Day Registration: $675 (Early bird: $605)
  • 2-Day Registration: $450 (Early bird: $400)

Lodging Information:

  • Only remaining rooms available: Ocean View at $499/night and Premier Ocean View at $529/night
  • Discounted resort fee: $37 + tax per day
  • Room rates based on single or double occupancy (subject to 17.962% tax)
  • Maximum occupancy: 4 persons per room
  • Additional guests: $40 per night for 3rd and 4th person
  • No charge for children 18 and under staying with a paying adult
  • Hotel cancellation policy: Cancellations within 14 days of arrival will be charged two nights’ room and tax (includes no-shows and early check-outs)

Synchronous-Virtual Attendees:
Zoom links and instructions will be emailed in the first week of January 2026.
All sessions are held in Hawaiian Standard Time (HST). Please adjust for your local time zone.

Cancellation/Refund Policy:

  • Cancellations must be made in writing at least one week before the conference
  • $50 processing fee for refunds
  • No refunds will be issued within one week of the event, regardless of circumstances

1. Surgical Certification Workshop
Presented in partnership with NSUOCO
Total CE: 16 hours (12 lectures + 4 hands-on labs)
All lectures are COPE-approved

  • Sunday, Jan 18: 1:30 PM – 5:30 PM
  • Monday, Jan 19: 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM
  • Tuesday, Jan 20: 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Procedures Covered:

  • Eyelid lesion removal & biopsy
  • Cyst drainage, chalazion injection & I&C
  • Radiofrequency ablation of trichiasis
  • Xanthelasma management
  • Suturing, injections, and lesion removal
  • Hands-on training: IPL and corneal crosslinking debridement

Cost: $1,250
Bundled with Full Conference: $1,875
A minimum of 35 participants are required by November 1, 2025. Max enrollment: 50.


2. Dry Eye & Aesthetics Workshop
Wednesday, January 21, 2026 | 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM
All lectures are COPE-approved

  • 9:00 – 10:00 AM: Addressing Unexpected Outcomes in OSD Procedures
  • 10:00 – 12:00 PM: Hands-On Dry Eye / Aesthetics Workshop
  • 12:00 – 1:00 PM: How to Get to Yes! Improving OSD & Aesthetic Conversions
