The Pacific Philharmonic will perform under the baton of guest conductor Kevin Lafohn on Friday, November 21 at 7:30 p.m. in McCready Hall, Taylor-Meade Performing Arts Center.
The Pacific Philharmonic Orchestra presents a richly textured program featuring works by British composers Edward Elgar and Christopher Wilson, and German Romantic Emilie Mayer. Elgar's Gavotte from Three Characteristic Pieces charms with elegant melody and refined harmony; Wilson's Suite for String Orchestra pairs structural clarity with expressive depth; and Mayer's Symphony No. 1 in C Minor (1847) showcases her bold, distinctive Romantic voice.
