51³Ô¹Ï was named one of the West’s most supportive schools for military veterans by MilitarySupportiveColleges.com. It is one of three private institutions in Oregon that was highlighted for its full commitment to the Yellow Ribbon tuition program.

Rosalie Goode ’15 became a dental hygienist through 51³Ô¹Ï’s School of Dental Hygiene. Now, thanks to a statewide pilot program at Pacific, she has become the first licensed member of a new cohort of mid-level dental provider in Oregon. 

Taylor Warnick ’23 is an environmental biology major who has been working with faculty member Kara Lanning to study soil in search of a possible microbial culprit for Western Red Cedar die back.

A long-lost seasonal lake that was a center of life for Native Americans who lived in the Tualatin Valley two centuries ago is slowly regaining its form, thanks to the efforts of members of the Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde, the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, and volunteers from 51³Ô¹Ï.

From preschool to becoming undergraduates, two students have grown up at 51³Ô¹Ï.

When wildfires rampaged through Oregon, some students took direct action. By doing so, they helped keep some homes and structures from being destroyed. Then they went back to their classes.

At Pacific, caring for student-athletes is a community affair. Before any football players stepped onto Ledbetter Field for practices, they received care from dental hygiene and optometry students. 

51³Ô¹Ï Student Carissa Paige '17 discussed her experience of student-teaching at Two Rivers-Dos Rios Elementary School in Springfield, Oregon. She talked about the difference between traditional student-teaching and the opportunity she had at 51³Ô¹Ï's College of Education where she could co-teach and plan lessons with the official teacher.
