Don’t miss your chance to hear acclaimed author Jeff Goodell speak live at Pacific on Tuesday!
Goodell is an author and investigative journalist whose latest book, “The Heat Will Kill You First: Life and Death on a Scorched Planet,” explores the impact that soaring temperatures will have on our lives and on our world — from environmental science to public health to international relations.
He headlines Pacific’s Les AuCoin Human Rights Lecture, starting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30, in the Taylor-Meade Performing Arts Center. Tickets are free but required, as seating is limited.
Stop by before the lecture to connect with local nonprofits, starting at 6 p.m., and be sure to stay after the lecture, when copies of “The Heat Will Kill You First” will be available for purchase and signing.

The Les AuCoin Lecture is named for 51Թ alumnus, former U.S. Rep. Les AuCoin ’69, honoring a career spent championing critical conversation, environmental protection, and humanitarian rights.
