Expand your horizons this summer with the PacU Libraries’ 2025 Summer Reading Bingo Challenge! From now until Sept. 5th, grab a bingo card and read your way to fun pins & prizes.
Here’s how:
1) Pick up a bingo card at the Tran or Hillsboro Campus Library, or download the pdf .
2) Read books that fit the prompts and write their titles and authors in the bingo squares. Each book can only be used for one square, even if it fits multiple prompts. If you read five in a row, that’s a bingo! If you read all 25, that’s a blackout! (If you fill out multiple bingo cards, that’s incredible!)
3) Turn your card in to the front desk of the Tran or HC library (or email it to libraryhelp@pacificu.edu if you’re participating remotely) by September 5th, 2025, and receive a cool pin for getting bingo, a super cool bonus pin if you get blackout, and up to five entries for the prize drawing (one per bingo)!
Want to play but don’t know where to start? Struggling to find a book that fits one of the prompts? Just curious about what books the folks at the Libraries recommend? Check out our Recommended Reading List for book recs for (almost) every prompt! Pick up a brochure at the Tran or HC Library or peruse the full list . Some of these books are on display in the Tran Library, so come take a look (and maybe a book)! We have Extended Summer Checkouts available, so you can take some books with you for the summer. Just ask the staff at the front desk about it and they'll extend your due date to September 5th.
Our Recommended Reading List also includes two books that will be featured in campus events next year, so get ready this summer by reading Mind Over Monsters: Supporting Youth Mental Health with Compassionate Challenge by Sarah Rose Cavanagh (author visit on Sept. 17, 2025) and I Lived to Tell the World: Stories From Survivors of Holocaust, Genocide, and the Atrocities of War by Elizabeth Mehren (event date TBA). We have print and ebook copies of both books available through the Libraries, and you can find the links in the Recommended Reading List.
We at the PacU Libraries hope you all are able to find some joy and whimsy this summer, and we wish you happy reading!
