NEW DATE! Hear Jeff Goodell Speak At Pacific
Acclaimed author and investigative journalist Jeff Goodell will speak Sept. 30 at Pacific’s Forest Grove Campus. This is an update to the original Oct. 1 lecture date.
Goodell is an expert on humanity’s fraught relationship with our rapidly changing planet. In his latest book, “The Heat Will Kill You First: Life and Death on a Scorched Planet,” he investigates the impact that soaring temperatures will have on our lives and on our world.
Touching on everything from environmental science to public health to international relations, this topic is one of the most important humanitarian issues of our time. Pacific is proud to welcome Goodell as the headliner of the Les AuCoin Human Rights Lecture.
The lecture begins at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30, in the Taylor-Meade Performing Arts Center. Tickets are free but required, as seating is limited.
If you already secured tickets for the originally planned dates, your tickets are good for Sept. 30. If you can secured tickets but can no longer attend the new date, please email alumni@pacificu.edu to release your tickets to other guests.

Local nonprofits will join us on Sept. 30 with informational tables prior to the lecture. Watch for a list of participating organizations soon!
Select student groups will have the opportunity to meet with Goodell for private Q&A sessions on Oct. 1.
