Declaring a major in Biology
- Current students interested in the Biology major should connect with a major advisor as soon as possible.
- 51Թ students declare majors by the end of sophomore year or at 45 earned credits
Course Planning for Biology
- Courses to complete in the first two years in order to graduate in four years
- BIOL 200+Lab and 201+Lab
- CHEM 220+Lab and CHEM 230+Lab
- MATH 125 or higher or math level 3 placement
- 300 Level BIOL Courses - finish 2 of the following courses (all require BIOL 200 and 201 to be completed)
- BIOL 313 or 315 or 317
- BIOL 314
- Transfer students interested in declaring biology need to connect with a faculty advisor early to plan your pathway to graduation. Most transfer students who have both General Chemistry (CHEM 220/230) and Intro Biology (BIOL 200/201) sequences can graduate within 2-2.5 years.
