It is with profound sadness that we share the loss of Dr. Lucy Dubin, our beloved vice president of human resources. Dr. Dubin passed away peacefully on December 8, surrounded by her loved ones. You can honor her legacy by donating to an organization in her name.
The McCall Center for Civic Engagement at 51Թ is looking for workshop facilitators to participate in our annual Spirit of Civic Engagement Summit, scheduled for Saturday March 15, 2025. The theme is Civic Engagement in Polarizing Times and the audience will be a select group of students, faculty/staff, and community partners engaged in service and activism in our community.
As part of moving our new Strategic Plan forward, this fall Pacific completed its first round of inviting employees to pitch strategic project ideas that can help us achieve our new Strategic Plan objectives — and the results are in!

Sarah Cavanagh, author of Mind Over Monsters: Supporting Youth Mental Health with Compassionate Challenge, will visit campus on Wednesday, September 17, 2025. A wide variety of events will be planned on, inviting students, faculty, and staff to engage with Prof. Cavanagh and the concept of “compassionate challenge” in the college classroom. Please save the the date and learn how you can prepare for her visit.
